If you can crochet and you want to make a really sweet, handmade card for someone, here’s your guide!
About a year ago, I made up a pattern for fruit slices. I’ve made so many different products with them, trying to figure out what crochet items sell best at craft fairs and markets.
I finally hit the jackpot with these: handmade greeting cards!
My customers LOVE the little crocheted bits, and the puns seal the deal.
I’ve shared the free crochet pattern for these fruit slices on another page. Go check it out!
Also popular are my handmade balloon birthday cards. Here’s the free and very simple crochet pattern for the balloon!
Crochet hook, size G/6 (4.25mm)
With cotton or bamboo yarn in any color, make a magic circle. Into the center of the circle, do the following: DC, TR, chain 4, TR, 12 DC. Join with a slip stitch into the top of the first DC.
Cut a 6″ cream-colored piece of yarn or string. Pinch the ch 4 together to make the bottom of the balloon, and carefully tie the 6″ string around the pinched piece. Use a tiny bit of glue to attach the balloon to a piece of cardstock to make a sweet and simple birthday card.
Abbreviations:
DC – double crochet
TR – triple crochet
